Unlocking opportunities: SpeechLogix harnesses Zoom to drive service providers’ business growth

SpeechLogix may be a Canadian company, but its impact is felt worldwide. The company’s flagship product is the XLogix® platform, which helps service providers like mobile operators create new business and update existing offerings.

“Every single service provider is stuck with complex platforms that require expensive contracts to maintain,” says Haitham El-Hanafi, Head of Sales at SpeechLogix. “We help them offer new products on a single, higher-margin platform. Most global service providers face a similar problem: While they may have a large and (relatively) loyal customer base, the service provider is rarely more than a conduit for bits and bytes. “The operators need to add additional products to increase their revenue stream. Enter SpeechLogix – and Zoom,” Haitham says.

Diving deep into Zoom SDKs

SpeechLogix is a global ISV for Zoom, the Zoom SDK, and Zoom Meetings. It knows the Zoom platform like few others. “The Zoom Meetings SDK is unbelievably rich. It took some time, but now we are Meetings SDK experts,” Haitham says proudly. This knowledge has allowed them to create incredible integrations of Zoom video calling into new or existing products. 

“Let’s say, an agent helps a customer with filling out a form and needs to verify the ID of the caller. With our solution, they can seamlessly access the camera of the user’s device, check the ID and the person, and then switch back. If everything is OK, they send the document to the appropriate department, making it easier for the customer,” Haitham explains. 

Once the XLogix® platform was up and running, new deployments took less and less time to complete. “For the first customer, the implementation took about four months, and for the second deployment at a different service provider, it took only three weeks!” In addition to delivering functionality, Zoom has been a critical driver of new business opportunities for SpeechLogix.

“Zoom is a trusted brand. It is well known to our customers. However, many operators would like a conferencing solution with their brand name. Zoom and SpeechLogix are a perfect combination of a single platform with a high level of functionality designed specifically for them.“ For example, SpeechLogix has created an auto-provisioning platform. It interfaces with the service provider’s product catalog, provisioning, and billing systems. End customers can sign up for a customized, branded conferencing application that wraps around Zoom functionality – so they get all the features of Zoom. At the same time, the service provider extends its brand and offerings.

In addition to the North American markets, SpeechLogix is very active in the Middle East and Africa. Both areas offer tremendous potential for carriers. And it’s incredibly challenging to be more than just a data transport provider in the face of competition from other startups. Carriers like MTN in Nigeria and other major players in places like the Middle East are eager to enhance their service with Zoom’s capabilities through integration with the SpeechLogix platform. 

So, what’s next? 

As he looks to the future, Haitham is confident that artificial intelligence will play a key role. “Products like the Zoom Virtual Agent will enhance the product portfolio, and we look forward to delving into more SDKs for other Zoom products. SpeechLogix is a disruptor in the UCaaS and CCaaS industry, and with the Zoom modules, we can show others just how relevant we are to the market.”
