Magnus has had a 30 year career using technology to help businesses innovate. He has led, advised and been a non-executive in the Financial Services, Government and Technology sectors.
Abe Smith is the Head of International for Zoom Video Communications. An industry decorated technology executive, Abe is recognized for building high-growth global teams at leading enterprise cloud companies such as Oracle and Cisco where he held senior roles. Bringing almost two decades of experience in SaaS, Smith is an authority on scaling operations in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Drawing on over 8 years of leadership at WebEX, where he was responsible for pioneering the web-conferencing category across emerging markets globally, Abe joined Zoom in 2019 to accelerate revenue growth while delivering happiness in all markets outside of the USA and Canada. Abe graduated with highest honors from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he studied Political Science with a certificate in International Relations.
Oded is responsible for leading Zoom’s Product Management. He brings more than 15 years of product experience to the Zoom team, providing in depth knowledge in video-centric collaboration and hands-on experience in building large-scale, cloud-based services. Before joining Zoom, Oded held leadership positions in video conferencing and unified communications product management. He was VP of Product Management at Blue Jeans Network and head of UC integrations at Cisco Webex. Oded has also served as Director of Business Development at Radvision. Oded holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology).
Tim Banting is a Senior Principal Analyst in workspace services within Omdia’s enterprise services team and focuses on unified communications and collaboration research. Tim provides Omdia’s clients with insights and intelligence to help them compete more effectively in the collaboration and unified communications market.
Tim joined the company in 2019 and has extensive experience in the unified communications and collaboration field, having held presales, technical, competitive marketing, business development, and senior product management roles. Before joining Informa Tech (now Omdia), Tim worked at GlobalData. He started his career in sales and training roles relating to unified communications and worked as a contact center consultant at Rockwell and in business development and market intelligence roles at Cisco during the industry’s transition from digital to IP PBXs. He has also held positions as a senior product manager for Microsoft and the head of business development at NextiraOne.
Angela Salmeron has over 10 years of experience in the ICT industry and is currently a research director with IDC’s European Future of Work research service, based in London. In this role, she provides coverage of key technology trends across the Future of Work, including the digital workspace, security and trust, collaborative platforms and the augmented worker.
Prior to this role, Angela was responsible for Enterprise Mobility research, covering Enterprise Mobility Management and Security. Angela is a regular speaker at industry events such as seminars and conferences.
Salmeron holds university degrees in Sociology (University of Alicante, Spain) and Economics (University of London) as well as a master’s degree in International Commerce (Instituto de Economía Internacional, Spain)
Since the beginning of 2021 Etienne Aubourg is an independent technology and digital advisor. Etienne was previously the L’Oréal Group Chief Information Officer based in Paris. At L’Oréal, Etienne launched the Beauty Tech factory defining the Next Generation IT, creating a Group Data strategy, implementing a hub and spike Tech accelerator and redefining ways of working. Once agreed at Board level the roadmap has been framed and is now being implemented.
Etienne holds an MBA from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (EDHEC) in Lille, France, and has completed continuing education programs at the European Management Center in Brussels and at HEC. Bilingual in French and English, he is married with three children and currently resides in Paris, France.
Dave is passionate about delivering first class service to customers ensuring their success through alignment to specific business objectives. He brings a mindset that is open to challenging the status quo. He is keen to foster honest discussions and encourage new, diverse ideas that facilitate change when things don’t feel right. Dave is keen to drive success for customers and the business and wants to drive the message of creating simple user experiences that enhances customers’ day to day life and work-life.
He brings over 18 years experience in leading enterprise technical customer relationship and account management teams working for the likes of Citrix, LogMeIn and Wolters Kluwer Health. Dave is responsible for leading a team of 60 to deliver customer engagement from onboarding and deployment to continued training as well as building a strong partnership that delivers true value and ROI through both direct and in-direct Customer Success Management.
Peter is a respected industry thought leader, a senior international business executive and entrepreneur with a unique wealth of experience. For 14 years, he has successfully performed in sales, marketing, and general management functions at IBM. He also has 14 years of experience as a business-oriented CIO and as a member of executive boards in large multinational companies in the pharmaceutical (Novartis), telecommunications (Deutsche Telekom) and finance industries (UBS & Swiss Life). Lately he served as President & CEO of TM Forum, a global industry association driving digitalization across all industries.
He is based in Switzerland, speaks several languages fluently, has conducted business globally in developed and emerging markets and lived in several different countries. Privately Peter is married and has two adult sons, he enjoys the outdoors as high-altitude mountaineer, skier and hiker and is interested in history, politics, and business.
As an expert technology evangelist over the past 25+ years, Mike advises companies about the latest workplace technology innovations, especially meeting room video-collaboration tech. Mike is currently helping Zoom develop its new executive engagement program across EMEA to showcase Zoom solutions in the most engaging way. Mike also enjoys advising startups and helping colleagues improve their presentation skills.
Michael Woollett is the International Zooms Rooms Manager at Zoom. Prior to Zoom Michael has a long history of building and leading successful enterprise sales teams within the video collaboration market, particularly during his time at Tandberg, Cisco and Acano.
Prior to joining Zoom, Helen held positions as the SE EMEA Director at Poly (formally Polycom), as a Practice Manager at Computacenter and as the Head of Pre Sales at Insight. Helen started her career at BT as a part of their graduate program focusing on Government, Networking and Telecommunications.
Randy Maestre is Zoom’s Head of Industry Marketing. A Unified Communications industry veteran, Randy was VP Industry, Field and Channel Marketing at Polycom where he helped to create video/voice solutions for retail, healthcare, education, government, financial services, manufacturing and other industries. Randy has held several executive-level marketing, sales and business development roles throughout his career, but his proudest career achievement is being product manager for the world’s first wireless LAN – WaveLAN. He and the product development team recently received the IEEE Milestone Award for their pioneering work on “WaveLAN, the Precursor to Wi-Fi”. Randy has lived and worked in Europe (the Netherlands), Latin America (Mexico) and Asia (Singapore). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Columbia University.
Julia Hobsbawm addresses the problems and solutions of humans in the machine age, specifically how to achieve simplicity in complex times and the ‘Nowhere Office’ of the post-pandemic hybrid workplace. She is the Chair of the Demos Workshift Commission and the author of the report “The Nowhere Office” and podcast “The Nowhere Office”. Julia is the author of 5 books, including “Fully Connected: Social Health in an Age of Overload”. Her 2020 book, The Simplicity Principle, was published in 2020 in the UK and US and won two awards for Best Business Book and Best General Self-Help book 2020 in the USA. Julia’s latest book The Nowhere Office (2022) is being bulk-purchased by boardrooms around the world and has been acclaimed as “a tour de force” which “brilliantly captures the zeitgeist issue of our times”. In 2005 Julia founded the acclaimed publishing, podcast and salon network company Editorial Intelligence, which she runs, alongside her brand The Simplicity Principle.
James tracks and predicts behavior change, whether among consumers or employees. In his tenure at Forrester, he successfully forecast the rise of online shopping in 1998 and more recently predicted the arrival of Amazon’s Echo platform before it existed. His models succeed because he focuses on an understanding of core human needs and motivations, using that foundation to predict why, when, and how people will try new things. In February 2013, James published his book Digital Disruption: Unleashing the Next Wave of Innovation. Currently, he is the research director for Forrester’s Future of Work team, guiding a team of analysts to not only identify changes in the world of work but also prepare clients in every industry to approach these changes as opportunities instead of threats.
Previously at Forrester, James ran Consumer Technographics® North America, Forrester’s unparalleled consumer research effort.
