Zoom Voice Communications, Inc. Notification For Canadian Customers Concerning Suicide Prevention

This notification provides important information about the ability to connect to emergency suicide prevention calling services using Zoom Phone Service. Please read it carefully.

Zoom Phone 988 Service: By July 16, 2022, in the United States Zoom Phone will fully support emergency calls to a national suicide hotline using the three digit code 9-8-8.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) is actively considering, but has not yet adopted, a three-digit number (such as 9-8-8) for calling a national suicide hotline in Canada. Zoom Phone is monitoring the CRTC’s activities in this area.

Until the CRTC adopts a three digit code, Zoom Phone customers in Canada may obtain suicide prevention service by calling the toll-free number 1-833-456-4566 at any time. Customers may also use the common short code 45645 for texts from 4pm to midnight Eastern Time.
