FAQ
Zoom Huddles are video-enabled virtual working spaces. It is designed to foster inclusive discussions, bringing the fluid interactions of in-person work to distributed, hybrid teams throughout their work day. Zoom Huddles replicates the ‘working alongside’ aspect of an open office for workers and encourages free-form video-first conversations.
A user can join a huddle and control if they’d like to have their camera or microphone on or off at any point.
Users can be a part of many huddles with the ability to move between them. It is analogous to an open office space: while an employee may have a dedicated desk, they are also free to walk around the office and mingle with other teams.
A huddle can be as small as two individuals, and as many as 1000. The maximum number of videos shared at one time will be 49, and they will appear in a circular gallery view, different from the video tiles many users are accustomed to.
A huddle replicates an open-office environment – so yes, everyone within the huddle can hear you if you have enabled your microphone. If you would like to have a separate conversation, you can create a subgroup, called a Conversation, within a huddle. Users in the huddle can add themselves to the Conversation.
No, recording is not supported in huddles.
Zoom Huddles is analogous to an open-office space and designed for anyone within an organization to participate. External users are not supported at this time.
