Phoenix Children’s Hospital Transforms Service Delivery with Zoom

Dunagan describes how Zoom has helped caregiving teams communicate, improving patient outcomes, all while decreasing technical support issues. For example, Phoenix Children’s uses Zoom meetings with screen sharing to connect their pathology team and surgical team during exploratory surgeries so they can instantly share information and make decisions. Says Dunagan: “Other technologies gave us a lot of conflicts, and we spent a lot of time trying to resolve issues for folks. We have three times the users as we did with other solutions…and we have less technical calls.”

For a healthcare organization, the primary concern is finding a secure solution to maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance:  “From an it security standpoint, we love the fact that Zoom encrypts. Zoom provides us a secure connection – physician to physician, nurse to nurse, patient to social services,” says Dunagan.
