Art Cooksey

Chairman and CEO of Let’s Talk Interactive

When Let’s Talk Interactive (LTI) needed a high-quality, reliable video communications platform that could help secure its data and support its global ecosystem of healthcare providers, the telehealth company found the solution it was looking for through a partnership with Zoom.

Let’s Talk Interactive, an international technology company that develops easy, safe, and fast virtual connections anywhere in the world, was looking for a new video communications platform to empower providers with the means to provide improved access to quality healthcare. The company needed a solution that provided secure, high-quality, reliable video so it turned to Zoom and its ISV Partner Program to provide a seamless solution.

“Leveraging the right partners has always been important to our business, and we knew that Zoom would be an imperative one,” recalled Art Cooksey, Chairman and CEO of Let’s Talk Interactive. “Zoom’s business model is favorable to an innovative company because the platform can handle our large infrastructure.”

During the company’s 20+ years in business, LTI has prided itself on being thoughtful about security, the patient and provider experience, and creating a healthcare system that can truly help others.

“Our mission is simple: provide Telehealth technology solutions that help providers offer access to quality healthcare coverage – regardless of local service levels – to eliminate gaps in the current system,” explained Cooksey.

Eliminating the complexity of telehealth

LTI has developed a virtual healthcare ecosystem with a range of innovative telehealth solutions, including software and hardware, web development, provider networks, and most recently, expanded in-house manufacturing to include 3D printing technology.

From integration to implementation, the company’s telehealth offerings eliminate the complexity of telehealth through custom solutions that integrate with existing workflows.

“Our solutions are trusted by top health systems, incorporated into more than 40 devices such as Electrocardiograms and vitals monitors, and are leveraged in mental health programs and substance abuse treatment centers. One of our partners is Soldier On, a nonprofit committed to ending veteran homelessness,” said Cooksey. “Soldier On has been utilizing our telehealth solutions for the last two years and has served 7,832 teletherapy sessions totaling 857,365 minutes, giving them the ability to impact the lives of more than 3,200 veterans.”

“Let’s Talk Interactive is also utilized in six school districts in the Florida panhandle and others throughout the state of Florida, including Orange County Schools, Brevard County Schools, and Broward County schools to connect students with mental healthcare providers,” continued Cooksey.

To leverage healthcare providers worldwide, LTI is expanding its solutions to be available in various languages. Today their solutions are available in English and Spanish, and will be expanding to Italian in the near future.

“Zoom’s Meeting SDK is enabling us to create the infrastructure so we can continue to grow these efforts as we work to create a global healthcare system,” said Cooksey.

Creating a best-in-class healthcare platform

LTI understood that visual communication offers more benefits when compared to a phone call. Seeing a person’s body language and facial expressions while hearing their tone of voice helps provide another dimension to the company’s telehealth solutions.

LTI worked with various video communication platforms, but when global challenges led to a steep increase in demand for their meeting solutions, capacity issues became more common.

With its industry-leading reliability and proven infrastructure, Zoom was able to create expansion programs that appealed to tech companies like LTI.

“When we started working with Zoom, the ISV Partner Program had just launched,” recalled Cooksey. “Through this program, Zoom made it advantageous for us to work together. We created a healthcare platform that could be best in its class using Zoom’s own best-in-class technology. The ISV program was a great way to expand our partnership and grow as a company.”

When LTI migrated to Zoom’s technology via the ISV Partner Program, the company was able to prioritize:

  • A reliable video stream
  • A seamless user experience
  • Both web access and app availability

“There are a lot of different options out there when it comes to video-based communications platforms, but Zoom’s business model aligns with our goals,” said Cooksey. “Our migration was short and simple. Zoom employees were engaged and a developer advocate was always available to help us if we needed it.”

Successful migration to Zoom’s ISV Partner Program

When companies change partners, they often experience some customer loss due to changes in product functionality and performance. LTI was an exception to the rule during their transition to Zoom’s developer solutions.

“Once we completed the migration process, we were thrilled to see that we did not lose any customers. We credit this to the quality of Zoom’s platform,” said Cooksey.

The partnership has successfully enabled LTI to:

  • Host more than 17.6 million minutes of telehealth sessions via Zoom, serving more than 500,000 users worldwide over the last year
  • Build a secure telehealth ecosystem by incorporating a video stream into its platform that helps enable its HIPAA compliance and launch two new proprietary platforms in less than two years
  • Receive support and documentation from Zoom’s ISV team, streamlining product launches
  • Establish international credibility by being awarded Zoom’s ISV Trailblazer Award in 2020
  • Continue to grow through co-marketing initiatives and promotion on the Zoom App Marketplace

Zoom’s ISV Partner Program supported LTI as it created a base of licenses that could leverage its healthcare products, enabling providers on the platform to offer their services to multiple customers. These licenses now support all of the different solutions that LTI offers to its customers, ranging from patient acquisition and patient care to patient aftercare and remote patient monitoring.

“Without Zoom’s ISV partnership and the access to Zoom’s core technology that it gives us, we would not have been able to grow that side of our business and become this global telehealth system,” stated Cooksey.
