This is an open invitation to education leaders across the globe to submit proven ideas that improve student engagement in online learning. The boldest and brightest ideas that support underserved students will be selected to receive Zoom technology, support, and funding.

In 2020, all over the world, educators, students, and parents have found ways to keep learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of the creative solutions that have emerged in response to the pandemic have been transformative in reaching and engaging students no matter where they are globally.

We know this is an urgent moment.

Technology has moved from the margins to the center of education, paving the way for ambitious innovations to help teach anywhere, learn anywhere, and connect anywhere. Zoom wants to support these ambitious and timely ideas that focus on improving student engagement and learning outcomes.

We’re providing technology, thought partnership, and funding to foster and scale audacious solutions that use video communication platform solutions to improve student engagement and outcomes.

Criteria

We are searching for projects with innovative approaches, ambitious plans to scale up, and nimble, adventurous leadership teams to execute the vision. If you cannot squarely say yes to all of the below criteria, we recommend you hold off.

Your solution

  • Improves student engagement and student outcomes
  • Uses video communication platform solutions as a core part of the innovation
  • Is a proven innovation with a plan to scale using video communication as core to the scaling plan
  • Prioritizes the most marginalized students
  • Preference given to leaders or leadership teams who reflect the community they serve

Support

Zoom EdInnovate awardees will receive grant funding and support from Zoom for up to two years to turn their idea into reality.

Eligibility

Eligible organizations include tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charities (or the equivalent if outside the U.S.), 501(c)(3) private foundations, 501(c)(4) social welfare organizations, government entities, and for-profit social enterprises. Note: grants to any organization that is not a public charity as described in Section 501(c)(3) will be classified as Expenditure Responsibility grants (ER grants) and will require additional due diligence.
